As hockey season approaches, we know anxiety is high with so many uncertainties.

As hockey season approaches, we know anxiety is high with so many uncertainties. We understand all that families are going through to protect themselves and the ones they love.

With school districts trying to make the right decisions leaving families worried about how the education of their children will take place, we want to do our best to relieve the stress of sport. Although we understand that we may encounter obstacles along the way this season, we are more than prepared to help navigate our group through this unprecedented time.

With the current Covid-19 numbers in the Southeast, we have made adjustments to the beginning of our schedule.

We want to place emphasis on beginning the season staying closer to home. We hope that this allows for easier planning for our families and gives us more time to make decisions on tournament travel with Covid-19 as a factor. The Carolina Rage feels this is the best path forward for our program so that we can focus on the start of our season and hockey in the fall.

CAHA has always stipulated that Phase 3 reopening must be met for tryouts to take place. That

stipulation has not changed. With the state of North Carolina not reaching phase 3 until the

earliest date of 8/7/20, the Carolina Rage will be moving forward with the expectation that tryouts will not take place. We will be preparing to sign players without a tryout, so the next few weeks are very important.

This pandemic has taught all of us that we have to prepare to get things done no matter the obstacle. The Carolina Rage always strives to overcome any obstacle presented and this is no different.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU

We plan to do everything we can to gather information on your player to make the best decision possible. It is highly recommended that you gather video of your player from last season. This can be game video that you recorded, video off of Live Barn from games they played in, or any training videos that you may have of them.  Please have video available upon request.

If you are interested in playing for the Carolina Rage it is very important that you have submitted your registration!

**By 8/2/2020 we will make a decision if a limited tryout will take place all dependent on the current Covid-19 situation drastically changing and of course the State of NC being in Phase 3.**

***Please make sure you register ASAP as interest in our Rage program has never been higher!
